A NEW VOCABULARY
Said Kinos (1988, Rotterdam) is a painter, illustrator and graffiti writer. With an education in Graphic design and a strong background in graffiti, he is always looking for new ways to approach lettering and art. His work has evolved immensely over the last year as he has gone from classical typographic works and lettering, to a distinctive, graphic, semi-abstract style of working. In his first solo exhibition ever, he will present a body of work which consists of paintings, pen drawings and a series of collages. Taking inspiration from contemporary Graphic design, modern art and illustration, Saïd is able to create compositions, forms and shapes that consist of multiple (typo)graphic elements. Blurred, deformed, abstracted and taken out of context to create a new vocabulary.
Exhibition opening on 29-04-2016
